Dog Friendly Holidays on Garda

Residence Centro Vela is happy to welcome people travelling with their dog, and all those who want to bring their pet along! Four-legged friends are important to us too, and we are sure they deserve to join you on your holidays – after all, you love them so much!

For this reason, we decided to give them special attention, and provide you with all the information you need to experience a real “Pet Friendly” holiday on Lake Garda.

Welcome to your holiday!

When you get to your apartment, you will find a comfortable dog bed, a bowl, a little snack and some useful information (also partially summarized in this post).

Rules for those travelling with animals

To make sure everyone will enjoy a peaceful holiday, we have a few simple rules – we’re sure they’re super easy to respect!
Pets can stay in the apartment, but please make sure they are as quiet as possible and do not disturb;
Each apartment can accommodate more than one animal;
Dogs can access all common areas, always on a leash;
You may access our breakfast room in the morning. We just ask you to wait for our team to give you indications on where to sit – alternatively, feel free to sit at one of the outdoor tables
There is a € 10.00 per day supplement for extra cleaning, to ensure maximum comfort for guests arriving later.

Dog beaches on Lake Garda and other useful info

Here you will find some useful information on how to get around freely with your dog. Some of the information given here can also be found on the Gardatrentino website (link) (please check official sources directly, as regulations may vary).

Where to walk your dog

Riva del Garda: from June 20^th to September 10^th included, you may access the paved pedestrian promenade, but not the beach.

Torbole / Lido di Arco: from June 1^st to September 15^th included, you may access the paved pedestrian promenade, but not the beach.

Dog areas and dog beaches in Riva del Garda and surroundings

Riva del Garda – Dog Area: Monte Brione (access from Porto San Nicolò), Parco della Pace (in front of the bus station).
Torbole sul Garda – Accessible beach: Dogs must be on a leash, and bathing is prohibited on the Lungolago Conca d’Oro towards Malcesine.
Arco (River Sarca) – River Bau Beach and Dog Area on the Sarca River behind the sports field, accessible from the cycle path.
Lake Tenno – Access to the beach is prohibited from June 1^st to September 30^th (access to the pedestrian promenade is allowed)
Valle di Ledro – Bau Beach in Pur (in Molina turn left near the Palafitte Museum). N.B. dogs must be on a short leash along the promenade
Braccobaldo Bau Beach – Peschiera del Garda, one of the best organized dog beaches for our 4-legged friends. There is a fee to access, and many specific services for dogs
Salò, Toscolano, Desenzano, Torri del Benaco, Malcesine – there are many other beaches on Lake Garda where dogs are allowed. The ones we have described in this post are the closest to us, or the most significant ones.
